Long House Cottages are situated in the beautiful Great Langdale valley in the heart of the Lake District National Park.

Enjoying a stunning location near the foot of the Langdale Pikes, the cottages stand in a beautiful south facing terraced garden, which has superb mountain views of the head of the valley. A further natural fell garden is a riot of daffodils and bluebells in the spring.

There are four cottages sleeping from two to six people.

Yan, Tan and Tethera Cottages:
Named after the traditional way of counting sheep, the 3 self-contained holiday cottages were converted from a traditional Lakeland bank barn, with great attention to detail, comfort and facilities.
Each cottage sleeps up to 4 people in 2 separate bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms.

The terraced garden has sitting out areas to enjoy the superb mountain views of the head of the valley.
Enclosed off road parking is available.

Long House:
A traditional Lakeland cottage dating from the 17th century. The cottage retains lots of character with its old oak beams, original slate floors, stained glass windows and log burning stoves. The spacious cottage has 3 bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom and sleeps up to 6 people.
The garden faces south and has a sitting out area to enjoy the superb mountain views of the head of the valley. Enclosed off road parking is available.

Directions
From the South:
Leave the M6 at Junction 36 for Kendal and South Lakes, continuing to Ambleside.

From the North:
Leave the M6 at Junction 40 at Penrith proceeding via the Keswick road as far as Threlkeld. Here take the B5322 road, that joins the A591 as far as Ambleside. At Ambleside follow the B5343 to the Langdales. After passing by Elterwater and through Chapel Stile we are 1.5 miles on the right hand side, on the road to Dungeon Ghyll.
