Our Cottage

If you are looking for a peaceful setting, amazing countryside, beach walks, historic towns and castles and a cottage full of personal touches to make you feel completely welcomed and at home, then our cosy cottage in pretty Belford may be the one for you.

Our cottage is on the edge of the pretty village of Belford, a traditional coaching town with a wealth of character and a warm welcome for vistitors to the area. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets.

ROOMS

Charlie's Place  is centrally heated throughout and the welcoming lounge/diner has an enticing real fire for winter evenings. The kitchen is very well equipped, has a lovely view of the garden and has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a dish washer.

 

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, a double and a single. A travel cot is available.

Wifi is available for our guests.

The large cottage garden offers the best of the day's sun, unbroken views of the countryside beyond, and includes a barbeque and table and chairs for outdoor eating. Help yourself to fresh blackcurrants in summer and to end the day sit back and watch the breathtaking sunsets at the end of the garden from the warmth of the summerhouse!

All beds are made up for your arrival, fluffy white towels are provided in plenty and a little welcome of milk, biscuits and flowers await.

The cosy summerhouse is perfect for sunset and bat watching.

The amazing coastline and beaches are just a 10 minute drive away … build sandcastles, paddle, picnic, surf, fly a kite or simply walk… we challenge you not to say ‘Wow!’ as you see Bamburgh Castle for the first time.

Our cottage kitchen is very well equipped for all your self-catering needs and has a lovely view of the garden and bird watching is a must as you have your morning coffee.

Newcastle and Edinburgh are both equidistant from our cottage and an hour's drive away. There are also trains from Berwick -on Tweed .
Towns
Lovely towns for lunch, coffee and cake and independent shops
Alnwick, North Berwick, Rothbury, Alnmouth, Craster, Amble
Eating Out
Belford itself has a wonderful farm shop with a superb bistro for breakfast, lunch or evening meals.
There is a lovely coffee shop serving home-made food, a chip shop and three friendly pubs serving food. There is a good sized co-op in the village for all self-catering needs. All above in easy walking distance from cottage.
