The Highland Club, Fort Augustus
The Highland Club is in Fort Augustus on the southern tip of Loch Ness, one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Highlands of Scotland not only for searching for the Loch Ness Monster but also for visiting Urquhart Castle on the way to the Highland Capital of Inverness.
There are many iconic and small scale distilleries to visit on the Whisky Trail. Fort William and The Nevis Range are to the South and to the West is Eileen Donan castle on the way to the Isle of Skye. There are also many facilities to enjoy at the Highland Club itself, including the swimming pool, tennis court, gym, and club lounge.

I don’t have a negative word to say about our Highland Club stay – it was 5 star from start to finish and I can’t recommend it too highly. The accommodation and facilities are excellent, as is the location, and the more you do the more you will enjoy it.”

A delightful step back in time! Serene, peaceful, a jewel inside and out. Plenty of room for our family of nine… games and activities for children, large windows to soak in the scenery, a playground and the loch’s waterfront to throw in stones. Just wish we could’ve stayed longer.”

Loch Ness, the world famous loch in the Highlands Of Scotland
The Highland Club sits right on the edge of south Loch Ness. There are many places whilst staying at the Aonach Mor apartments to sit and watch, or just relax by this mysterious and most beautiful body of water.
Nessie the Loch Ness Monster was first sighted by Saint Columba in 565 AD. There have been many sightings since this time and all we can do is to keep looking for our own sighting!
Popular activities include walking or riding the Great Glen Cycle Way or the South Loch Ness Trail, climbing one of the many mountains or Munros – or enjoying a forest or lakeside walk. Skiing (in the winter months) is just a 30 minute drive away. The beautiful scenery used for many a television programme including The Loch and The Grand Tour.
What a cracking place! The apartments are always clean and comfortable. It’s a lovely place to stay for families and kids love it too. It’s a very good location for visiting the Highlands and Nessie. We are always pleased to go and enjoy our stay.”

Arrival at your property is now available anytime between 4pm and 8.30pm. Outside of these times can be pre-arranged for an additional charge. Please remember to mention it when you book.

We have just returned from a family stay at the Highland Club. Everything about the stay was great, including the Club and its grounds, its stunning lochside setting, our apartment and the service from Aonach Mor. The abbey and grounds are pretty stunning, the conversion work is very well done and everything is spotless and well maintained, surely no mean feat with such a large building and so many individual apartments and areas …. none of us wanted to come back to reality … We’ll be back!”
