Canterbury Cottage was built in 1880 near the colleges of the University in a quiet backstreet of the old city alongside other period cottages of the late Victorian era. It is now a stylishly renovated, decorated and comfortably furnished rental property with a wealth of traditional architectural character.

On the ground floor, the cottage has a large, spacious living room with a wood-burning stove and a bright, well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a large dining table with doors out onto the private, child-friendly garden.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a sleek, modern bathroom with bathtub and shower facilities

The 'master' bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, a chest of drawers and a clothes' rail. There is also room for a travel cot for a child under 2 years old. We can provide the cot but please note we do not provide linen for it.

The 'family' bedroom overlooks the garden at the rear of the cottage. It is a bright bedroom with a large skylight window equipped with a blackout blind, if necessary. It is furnished with a double bed and a single bed and there is a cupboard for hanging and storing clothes.

Bed linen and towels are provided and are changed weekly.

For those arriving by car, we can offer parking for one car outside the cottage - please ask us for details. There is also free on-street parking in the streets nearby. Please remember though the cottage is only 10 minutes on foot from central Cambridge so a car is not necessary.

Canterbury Cottage is less than 5 minutes on foot from our other central Cambridge self-catering accommodation, Bermuda Cottage, which can accommodate up to 3 guests (+ 1 baby in a cot). When both cottages are booked together the cottages have a maximum capacity of 8 guests (+ 2 cots).
