Calm and comfortable holiday cottage in the beautiful picture postcard village of Hamsterley, in County Durham.
Hamsterley is nestled between Teesdale and Weardale, with a view of the fells from Serendipity.
We are 30 minutes from Durham City and one hour from York City.
Serendipity is ideal for walkers, cyclists or those seeking tranquillity.
On our doorstep is Hamsterley Forest, there are various trails for walking, cycling or pony trekking. For children there is a small river running through the forest where they can catch sticklebacks and minnows etc, and a large adventure play ground.
Serendipity is a cosy cottage with storage heaters and a wood burning stove for those winter days. Serendipity is a family and pet friendly, non-smoking cottage.
We have a fully functional kitchen with all the creature comforts of home. A luxury hamper is supplied at no extra cost consisting of; wine, bread, jams, milk, tea, coffee and sugar, and eggs from our chickens that can be seen from the kitchen window.
Serendipity comfortably sleeps five. A travel cot is also available at no extra cost, just mention it when booking.

Hamsterley is found a couple of miles off the A68 via Saunders Avenue. The A68 is the scenic route that will take you all the way to Edinburgh. We are around 20 minutes from Junction 58 of the A1.
