Our self catering cottage has been awarded Visit Scotland's 3 star accreditation and Ancestral Tourism welcome scheme. The cottage comfortably sleeping up to 6, can accommodate a range of families or small group.
Our L-shaped traditionally stone built cottage dates from around 1860 and has since been extended and modernised. It is believed to have formed part of the Comlongon Castle estate, now a famous wedding venue.
Situated on the Burns and Solway Coast heritage trail, Ruthwell lies between Annan and Dumfries, and each town is easily accessible. Carlisle can be reached by car in half an hour and the larger cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are less than 2 hours drive. Gretna Green, the romantic wedding location is less than 30 minutes by car.

Directions
From Carlisle:
Take the M6 North and then the A74 to Gretna. Follow the A75 for Annan, then use the B724 heading for Ruthwell.
From Dumfries:
Ttake the A75 towards Annan, then take the B724 turnoff heading for Clarencefield and Ruthwell.
Prices start in low season at £220.00 per week, increasing in high season to £320.00 per week.

Short Breaks
We are always happy to discuss your requirements, and can offer short breaks of any length subject to availability.
Central heating costs are included in the charge. Electricity is metered in the cottage and an additional amount is charged for your usage.
The cottage is available all year round.
