Owl Barn

Bruton
Cottage's own web site
Discove Farm offers a chance to unwind in some of England's most beautiful countryside. Peacefully situated at the end of a private lane, it is about a quarter of a mile from the charming mediaeval town of Bruton. Although no longer a working farm, it is surrounded by mixed arable and dairy farmland which also supports a variety of wildlife - often visible from the sundeck.

Within easy reach are the great houses and gardens of Stourhead, Longleat and Montacute while Bath, Salisbury, Bristol and the Dorset coast are all within an hour's drive. Sporting facilities in the area include riding, fishing, golf and racing at Wincanton. The 28 mile Leland walker's trail passes nearby and a children's activity centre in Bruton accepts 'day guests' by arrangement.

Owl Barn has been converted from a small stone barn to provide high quality accommodation for up to five people. A high insulation level keeps it warm in winter and cool in summer.

The spacious living area is open to the roof with original beams and an exposed stone wall. It is comfortably furnished and has a colour TV, DVD player, video recorder and music centre with CD player.

The main bedroom has twin beds which can be united to make a large double. The smaller second bedroom on the first floor has twin beds. There is also a foam chair which converts to a single bed.

The modern kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine.

The shower bathroom has a large shower area with a seat, WC and vanitory unit.
