Originally built in the 1600s, Chilton House has been extensively refurbished, offering a delightful combination of old world charm, as well as modern comforts and convenience.
Whether on business or pleasure we invite you to relax in one of our 4 apartments or 2 cottages all set in idyllic surroundings at the edge of this beautiful Oxfordshire village.
All our accommodation is available for short or long stays depending on your requirements.
Chilton House is located on Townsend on the edge of Chilton village. It is 14 miles south of Oxford, 12 miles north of Newbury, 7 miles east of Wantage and 5 miles from Didcot. Didcot Parkway Railway Station is 5.5 miles away. The village of Chilton is also near the historic Ridgeway walk.
There are four apartments in the main house:
Rutherford (Sleeps: 5):
2 bedroom apartment. Bedroom 1 is a triple room, bedroom 2 is a twin room.
Halley (Sleeps 5):
2 bedroom apartment. Bedroom 1 has a double + single bed, bedroom 2 is a twin room.
Hawking (Sleeps 3 +2):
1 bedroom apartment. The bedroom is a triple room.
Churchill (Sleeps 5):
2 bedroom apartment. Bedroom 1 has a double + single bed, bedroom 2 is a twin room.
Two cottages which adjoin the main building:
Lewis (Sleeps 2+2):
1 bedroom cottage. The bedroom is a double room.
Tolkien (Sleeps 5):
2 bedroom cottage. Bedroom 1 has a double + single bed, bedroom 2 is a double room.
Each contain an ample living room as well as a well equipped kitchen and luxurious bathroom.
The sofas in Hawking and Lewis fold down to make a double bed if required.
Please note each apartment is fully furnished.
Should you require a cot please let us know when making your booking.
There is a maximum of 4 adults per apartment/cottage.

Directions
From the South:
Exit the A34 signposted Wantage A4185 (A417). At the end of the slip road turn right. After 400 yards take the 1st exit off the roundabout, after 20 yards take the right turn marked 'Chilton Village'. Chilton House is 50 yards on your left hand side.
