Crydda Cottage is a beautiful detached stone cottage, tucked away in a private sunny courtyard, located in the heart of the village a few minutes walk from the pubs, restaurants and shops. There is a short walk to the beautiful sandy beach and National Trust headland of Baggy Point, Saunton Sands (4 miles long!) and Putsborough/Woolacombe beaches (blue flag!) are a couple of minutes by car.
Croyde has a very family friendly beach with cafe, shop and showers etc, there is also a surf school, and a riding school. The area is renowned for its walking and there are several excellent golf courses nearby including the famous Saunton Sands Club. Other attractions include boat/fishing hire and ferrys to Lundy from Ilfracombe, several adventure/theme parks nearby, Watermouth Castle, Arlington Court and clay pigeon shooting close by - list too long to mention.
The cottage is full of character with lots of original features and has been very well equipped and totally refurbished throughout in a style which complements the property. There are very comfortable living areas with a contemporary feel, 4 very cosy bedrooms, a well appointed main bathroom with spa, 2 further bathrooms, lovely country kitchen and spacious dining room with bed sette and TV.
Outside there is a lower terrace with shower and hanging rack for wet suits and providing a safe storage area for surf boards.
The upper terraced garden is enchanting, it is very private and totally enclosed with a sun trap decking area, there is a BBQ and 2 tables and chairs for 10, and some sun loungers. There is also a play area for small children and a summer house in the garden. It is a really great place to chill out after your day on the beach!!
