The Sheiling at Balvatin Cottages is a comfortable self catering house for 6 people. Ideally located at Newtonmore in the the Cairngorm National Park. Surrounded by magnificent Highland scenery, yet only two miles off the main Perth to Inverness road and around two hours drive from Edinburgh.
The train station in the village provides main line direct services to Inverness, Perth and Edinburgh. Newtonmore makes a great base to explore the Highlands and there is easy access to the west coast towards Ben Nevis and Fort William too.
Walking, fishing, golfing, boating and pony trekking are all available in the village or nearby with the Speyside whisky trail running towards the north, there's something for everyone!

Accommodation - open plan living room/kitchen, bathroom, shower room, two twin bedrooms, one double bedroom.
The ground floor has a twin bedroom and adjacent bathroom with over bath shower. The large open plan living room has a new fitted kitchen area with oak worktops and Bosch appliances. French doors lead from the seating area to the shared gardens and patios, with spectacular views of the hills.
The living room has TV, dvd, video and Skybox with Freeview channels. The first floor has a twin bedroom and double bedroom and a showerroom with electric shower. Cot and highchair available on request. Garden furniture and barbecue available. A shared coin op laundry has washer and a tumble dryer.

Directions
From the South:
Take the main Perth to Inverness road A9. At 65 miles form Perth, take the turn off for Kingussie and Newtonmore.
Follow the road towards Newtonmore, and Balvatin Cottages are on the left as you approach the village 30mph limit, past the Chefs Grill on the left.
Main line station is Newtonmore, 15mins walk from the house. Citylink Perth to Inverness bus service stops within 5mins walk.
