The Smithy Croft self-catering cottage is situated in one of Scotland's most glorious areas. Just 5 miles from Dufftown (The Whisky Capital) in the heart of Scotland's Whisky Trail. It is an ideal holiday location for those wishing to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the North East of Scotland.
The cottage which is a traditional stone-built cottage is suitable for 6 people and is surrounded by farmland with Ben Rinnes at the rear of the cottage. It is situated in its own grounds and affords magnificent views over the rolling hills of Glenfiddich. Located approximately half way between Inverness and Aberdeen it is therefore an ideal base to explore what the North East has to offer, whether it be distilleries, castles, golfing, fishing, walking, skiing, the beaches of the Moray Coast, the Cairngorms National Park or just relaxing and getting away from it all.
Dufftown is only 5 miles away and offers plenty of amenities including a butchers, bakers, general stores, hairdressers, petrol station, garage, pubs, hotels and restaurants.
In the homely lounge there is a colour TV with DVD, video recorder, radio/CD player and small book library. In addition there is an open coal fire.
One small single bedroom is located downstairs.
The well equipped kitchen has electric cooker, large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, wooden dining table with 6 chairs, etc.
The bathroom has W.C. bath, power shower unit, mirror and shaving point.
Utility room holds small chest freezer, slow cooker, steamer, washing machine also storage area for ironing board, iron, vac etc. There is a boot rack and shoe rack.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a landing. One bedroom has a double bed, one with twin beds and the other a single bed.
For anyone with a mobility problem there is a ramp at the side of the cottage for access (over the two steps). There is one internal step from Utility Area to Kitchen, the rest of the ground floor is level.

From Dufftown take the B9009 (Tomintoul) for 4.5 miles. Continue passed road off to right (signposted Edinville) The Smithy Croft is next property on right of road. (If you come to a road off to the left (signposted Glenrinnes Graveyard) you have passed the cottage).
