Valasay, Isle of Lewis

Holiday Cottage: 4169 Western Isles

Isle of Lewis
Visit Scotland:   4 star
Cottage's own web site
Valasay offers a real home from home in an area that allows you to be as active as you want or to chill out as much as you need.
This recently built, semi-detached croft house is set in one of the most beautiful locations on the Isle of Lewis overlooking the Kyles of Valasay where grey seals, dolphins and many species of sea and shore birds are regularly to be seen.

At the bottom of the drive is a 100 year old footbridge across a Marine Special Area for Conservation. This designation has been given to protect rare varieties of marine invertebrates and seaweeds. The flow of water changes with the tides and offers a unique atmosphere to the house as you lie in your bed listening to the soothing sound of the water flowing.

Whether you want to experience the Gaelic culture at the new Arts Centre, catch a trout or two for tea or just relax in front of the open fire, Valasay has something special to offer everyone.

As some of our guests have allergies, we regret we cannot accept dogs or permit smoking. Check availability on-line on our website listed under 'Bookings and Enquiries'. Credit and debit cards accepted.
