Widecombe Cottage: This lovely newly converted barn for 2 people is situated in the tranquil hamlet of Venton, just a short stroll from the famous Dartmoor village, Widecombe In The Moor.
The double bedroom is beautifully equipped with a handmade oak king sized bed, Egyptian cotton bed sheets and a sumptuously styled en suite bathroom with a double ended roll top bath. Fluffy towels are provided. With energy conservation in mind there is endless supplies of hot water from a mixture of solar power and gas fired heating.
The oak and granite kitchen,is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, microwave and washer / dryer.
Widecombe Cottage is stylishly furnished throughout and the living room has leather settees, oak flooring, beautiful rugs, central wood burner, LCD TV, DVD player and music centre.
There are many fantastic Dartmoor walking, cycling or riding paths from the door step, many of which pass the local pub, The Rugglestone Inn, at the start or finish of your walk.
Ther are locally based activities for you, such as horse riding and tennis should you wish.
There is a private South facing sun terrace which has far reaching, uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside which includes Dartmoor Tors, hills and forests. Patio furniture and BBQ are provided so guests can relax and enjoy the views of this truly unspoilt corner of Devon.
The Cottage is nestled in mature gardens which our guests are welcome to explore.
The free range hens provide guests with fresh eggs.
The building is completely underfloor heated and has a constant supply of hot water.
There is ample car parking adjacent to Widecombe Cottage.
