The Old Schoolhouse is a luxury, detached, Victorian schoolhouse with many original features set in the rolling Dumfriesshire countryside.

With 3 bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin), beautiful period bathroom with roll-top bath, light, spacious living room and large, sunny dining/kitchen - both with open fires; large, private garden with mature fruit trees and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside; or explore our woodland with 'fire-pit' barbeque, burns (streams) and wildlife-a-plenty!

The Old Schoolhouse is ideally situated to explore south wesr and central Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England.

Facilities include: 32" LCD TV, DVD, CD/radio, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, cot & high chair available, books, DVDs, games, ample parking, welcome pack.

The Old Schoolhouse has a large, private garden with barbeque, garden furniture, toys etc. Access to private woodland with 'fire-pit' barbeque, streams and wildlife-a-plenty.
Local Services: The cottage is set in rolling countryside approximately 5 miles from Dumfries and 10 mins form a 24 hour supermarkt. There are also small village shops with post office facilities close by.

Directions
At Dumfries, take the A75 bypass around the outskirts of Dumfries until the Cuckoo Bridge roundabout at which you take the exit signed A76 Kilmarnock. Carry on that road, past the Jet petrol station on your left. Shortly after, take the left turn (opposite Holywood) signed Dunscore/Moniaive onto the B729 for approximately 1.5 miles until, at a sharp right bend, you take the left fork signed Newtonairds/ Morrinton. Carry straight on that road for approxiamtely 1.25 miles until the road dips at a right bend. The old Schoolhouse is on the right.

As The Old Schoolhouse is new to the market, for the remainder of the 2008 season an introductory tariff of £395.00 per week applies. Pricing will be revised after the holiday season.
