Access to the countryside starts at the end of the garden, which bounds Neptune's Staircase on the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way.

Local Services: The house is 50 metres from the Moorings Hotel with its renowned restaurant and lounge bar. A ten minute, canal side walk takes you to The Lochy which offers more traditional pub fare. Between the two there is a play area for children. One mile away, there is a small supermarket and newsagent in Corpach.

Mountain View is located in Banavie, just to the North West of Fort William.
There is a train station on the West Highland Line at Banavie.
Buses travel to Fort William from Glasgow and Inverness.
By car, travel on the A82 towards Fort William and turn off onto the A830, known as the Road to the Isles (Mallaig). Two miles along this road you turn off onto the B8004 signposted Banavie.
