All our cottages are converted farm buildings.
All have interesting old beams, double glazing, full central heating and patio area.

We have 6 cottages sleeping from 2 to 6 persons. All are equipped to a very high standard, with 5 cottages being rated 4 star by The English Tourist Council. You can have a log fire in 2 cottages - logs are free.

There is ample parking, garden furniture, and a laundry service available.

Prices include electricity, heating, bedding, and linen.
We have a no pets policy as this is a working farm.

Facilities:
Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, food mixer, iron and ironing board, colour television, shaver point.
Our 3 larger cottages have a washing machine.

There is lots of wildlife to be seen at Cowldyke Farm.
Otters have been seen on our stretch of the river Dove, and we regularly see hares, deer, and birds such as owls.
Come and meet our sheep, highland cattle, Charlie the pony, hens, dogs, and cats.

Take a short break and visit The North York Moors, the sea side, a wealth of local tourist attractions, or just enjoy the farm.
The historic city of York and the seaside resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington are within easy driving distance.
The spectacular North Yorkshire Moors, with magnificent scenery and many picturesque villages, made famous by television series such as "All Creatures Great and Small", and "Heartbeat", are a 10 minute drive away.

Other attractions such as Castle Howard, known to viewers of "Brideshead Revisited," National Trust properties, ruined abbeys, a castle, steam railway, museums, a zoo and theme park etc. are all within just a few miles.

Pub meals are available in the villages of Marton and Normanby, only 3 miles away.

There are also lots of other attractions in the area - something for everyone, whatever the weather!

Directions
Cowldyke Farm is situated only a short distance from the tranquil village of Great Edstone, and only 4 miles from the market town of Kirkbymoorside.
Leave Kirkbymoorside in the direction of Pickering.
Take 2nd right signposted Marton.
Take next right on brow of hill for Great Edstone.
Go through the village, and Cowldyke Farm is on your right, after about half a mile.
The driveway has an avenue of small conifers.
