This seaside resort is the most popular in the country, with regular trams servicing all 7 miles of the promenade and all the way up to the fishing port of Fleetwood.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has over 145 rides including the Pepsi Max Big One, as well as rides for all the family.
Stanley Park is approximately ˝ a mile away and includes a boating lake, model village, Italian gardens, playground and a large café as well as modern sports facilities.
Close by is Blackpool Zoo and Marton Mere Nature Reserve, where birdwatchers can observe around 130 species throughout the year.
The famous illuminations run each night from the beginning of September to the first week in November and even the three piers and tower are illuminated.
Further afield there is the Lake District, approximately 1 hours drive to the North and the City of Manchester approximately one hours drive to the South East.
The Ribble Valley, which is a very popular walking and wildlife area, is about 35 miles away. Camelot Theme Park is also about 30 miles away.

From the M6 at junction 32, exit onto M55 toward Blackpool/Fleetwood/Preston/A6/Garstang:
At junction 4, take the A583 exit at the roundabout, then take the 3rd exit onto A583/Preston New Road heading to Blackpool/N'Shore. Continue to follow A583, then on B5390/Park Road, turn left at B5263/Read's Ave.
Turn right at Stanley Road, turn right at B5263/Hornby Road and left at Regent Road.
