Garden Cottage is a comfortable well equipped, detached stone built two story cottage in a quiet part of Bamburgh village.Excellent views across countryside and sea to Holy Island and of the magnificent Bamburgh castle.

Ground Floor:
Vestibule. Entrance from front garden with room for coats, boots etc.

Sitting Room with dining area, sofa and easy chairs, sideboard, Freeview TV and DVD player, radio cassette/CD player, 2 storage heaters, log effect electric fire, views of the sea and Holy Island with it's castle.

Spacious Kitchen with table and chairs, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, iron, washing machine, storage heater, pay telephone.

Patio. South facing with garden seat and gate, leading to car park and gardens.

Upper Floor:
Bedroom 1. Double bed with duvet, electric blanket, bedside chests with lamps, radio/alarm clock, chest of drawers, walk in wardrobe, storage heater, views of the garden.

Bedroom 2. Two single beds, duvets, bedside chests with lamps, wardrobe, storage heater, sea view.

Bathroom. Heated towel rail, shaver point, bath with mixer tap and hand shower, view of the castle from the bath!

Parking. Off the road with two spaces available.
Electricity. Included in rent.
Bed Linen. Available for hire on request.

The Old Reading Room:
The detached stone cottage is situated in the centre of Bamburgh village up a private lane to the old school, close to shops, restaurants, pubs and about five minutes walk to the beautiful beach.

Sitting Room with dining area, two sofas, easy chair, Freeview TV and DVD player, 2 night storage heaters, coal effect electric fire, sideboard, tourist info etc.

Bedroom 1. Double bed, duvet, dressing table, wardrobe, bedside chests with lamps. Radio/alarm clock, electric heater.

Bedroom 2. Single bed, with duvet, wardrobe, bedside chest with lamp, electric heater.

Bathroom. Electric shower over bath, heated towel rail, wall heater, shaver point, night storage heater.

Kitchen with fitted units, stainless steel sink, electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge, toaster, all usual utensils, storage heater, door to small patio.

Rear Patio. Stone walled and paved, flower beds, seat. Very sheltered and secluded. Garden shed for storing chairs etc.

Parking. Room for two small cars or one large car on marked area by the front door.

Electricity. Included in the rent.
Linen. Please note that we do not supply linen. There are duvets and blankets provided for your use.


Near Farne Islands and easy reach of Alnwick Gardens and many spectacular castles and stately homes. Near Grace Darling museum, superb golden beaches, golf courses and nature reserves. Excellent coastal walks. Restaurant and pubs 3 minute walk. Ideal base for visiting Northumberland.
