Welcome to Rowlands Aviemore - self catering accommodation in the heart of the Highlands. Rowlands is a 2 bedroom cottage, sleeping 5 plus 1 baby. Dogs welcome. Large garden with patio and storage shed.

Rowlands is well maintained and equipped to excellent standards.

Located in a pleasant residential area, the cottage is just 5 minutes walk from the golf course and 15 minutes walk from the village centre. The open countryside around Aviemore is just metres away.

Aviemore is in the centre of Scotland's great outdoors. Dominated by the wild Cairngorm mountains and surrounded by rivers, lochs and the Caledonian forest, Aviemore is the ideal base for year round activities and offers walking, mountain biking, winter sports, golf, fishing and climbing.

The house, which sleeps 5 people plus 1 baby, is fully equipped with modern appliances and is furnished to a high standard. There is also a high chair and travel cot (bring your own bedding).

The price you pay includes bedding, towels, electricity and water - there are no hidden charges. We are pleased to accept pets by arrangement.

Living/dining room: The open plan dining/living room contains 2 comfortable sofas and dining space for 6 people. There is an LCD TV, DVD player, Sky (free to air) satellite TV and CD/radio player.

Kitchen: The recently refurbished modern kitchen has a fridge/freezer, electric cooker with a double oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1, at the rear of the cottage, offers one single and 1 set of full size bunk beds. There is a built in wardrobe with ample hanging and shelf space. Bedroom 2, at the front of the cottage, offers one large double bed or 2 singles, and has a built in wardrobe.

Outside: The house is surrounded on 3 sides by a large, enclosed and well maintained garden, offering ample space for barbecues. Outdoor furniture is provided for dining or seating outside and we have also built a paved patio area with a wooden picnic table and seats for 8.

There is off road parking for 2 cars. We provide a small shed for storage of your outdoor equipment such as mountain bikes and golf clubs.

Our property is a bungalow so is suitable for disabled guests providing they are able to manage the step into the house (front and back doors). All facilities are at standard height and the shower is over the bath. Our driveway and gardens are level and flat with no steps so are easily accessible

Towels and bedding (duvets) for all guests. We provide a cot but guests will need to bring their own bedding for babies

We are happy to accept up to 2 well behaved dogs by prior arrangement. There is a small additional charge for this

Local Services: Aviemore village is full of shops (including a supermarket for groceries), bars, restaurants and cafes. There are numerous local attractions offering activities such as golf (a few minutes walk), fishing (at the end of the road!), cycling (the house in on a national cycle route), railway trips (Strathspey steam railway, Cairngorm Mountain railway), watersports (Loch Morlich and Loch Insh within 15 minutes drive), climbing (Aviemore climbing wall 5 minutes walk and crag climbing in the Cairngorms), distillery visits (we're in Speyside, the home of distilleries) and wintersports at Cairngorm Mountain so there is plenty to do!

Directions
Rowlands is situated in the village of Aviemore, close to the A9 and served by a main railway station.
The village is 30 miles south of Inverness (location of the nearest airport).
Public transport runs between the main villages and towns and the village is on a national bus operator route.
Rowlands is at the North end of the village, a couple of minutes drive from the railway station and about 15 minutes walk

Pricing and Opening Times
Seasons Open: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.

Low season: October - March excluding holidays - from; £299.00 per week.

Mid season: April - June and September and half term/Easter holidays - from: £325.00 per week.

High season: July - August and Christmas and Hogmanay - from £399 per week

Short breaks are from £80 per night(minimum stay 2 nights)

We are open all year round, as Aviemore is a year round resort. Changeover day is normally Saturday, but we can be flexible and we encourage weekend and short breaks.
Normal arrival time is after 3.30pm and departure before 10am - again we can often be flexible - just ask!
