'The Cottage by the Mill' is an enchanting Grade II listed 2 bedroom self catering cottage; set in the most beautiful surroundings in the rural village of West Ashling, just 4 miles from the historic Cathedral city of Chichester and 6 miles to famous Goodwood.
With a delightful view from every window you can take time to watch the horses drinking from the stream, the ducks swimming on the mill pond and the geese waddling down the lane!
We offer all visitors a Welcome tray on arrival with tea, coffee and homemade cake. During Goodwood events (we are just 6 miles from Goodwood) we offer a complimentary bottle of champagne to guests. Any additional need for provisions can be catered for upon request.

Follow the signs for the M23 towards Brighton:
Continue south the M23 becomes the A23 look for signs saying A272 (Signposted Petersfield) continue following the A272 until you reach the A24 signposted Worthing. Continue down this road watching out for speed enforcement cameras until you reach a roundabout signposted A280 (Littlehampton, Chichester, Portsmouth). Carry on along this road until you reach a roundabout signposted A27 (Chichester, Portsmouth). Follow this road until you reach a very large roundabout called the FISHBOURNE ROUNDABOUT, take the first exit follow the road until you reach another roundabout, take the 4th exit into Station Road signposted Funtington, at the end of the road turn left into Clay Lane follow the road through the village and then turn left by a large wall into Down Street. Continue down the road for a short while and you will then see the millpond and 1 Cottage by the Mill can be found on the right hand side on the corner of Watery Lane.
