A recently refurbished Elizabethan stone cottage, with a huge inglenook fireplace. The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom and a second bedroom, which sleeps three.
There is a kitchen/diner and a sitting room, which also has a bed settee. The main bedroom as its own en-suite bathroom and toilet. There is also a toilet and shower room on the ground floor.
The cottage has an enclosed garden, which opens onto a large private estate. The grounds of the Trefan estate extend to 30 acres of pasture and woodland bordered by the river Dwyfor.
It is ideal for "wild" swimming and fishing. There are woodland walks and an abundance of wildlife, especially badgers. A pathway runs along the river all the way to the local village.

Local Services: Criccieth is a quaint seaside town and is just 1.5 miles away, with a geat selection of restaurants, pubs, shops, cafes and a health centre. A trip to Criccieth Castle gives excellent views across the bay and surrounding countryside and a visit to the famous Cadwalader's Ice Cream shop is a must.
Llanystumdwy is a small village just half a mile away from the holiday cottage. The village pub serves excellent food. It is the village where David Lloyd George, the British Prime Minister lived until he was 16. A museum dedicated to Lloyd George memorabilia is situated in the village.
Porthmadog is a costal town located nearby. It consists of bustling shops, cafes, pubs, The Welsh Highland Railway Station and a beautiful harbour.

At Bangor take A487 towards Caernarfon, after Bryncir follow signs for Criccieth.
A5 (coming from the South)
Take A494 (Bala), A4212 (towards Trawsfynedd), A470 (Porthmadog) there follow signs for Criccieth.
Once at Criccieth it is 1 mile further west along A497 (towards Pwllheli).
Turn off at Llanystumdwy and turn right immediately before bridge, then take next left down private road (signed Trefan Hall)
