Fois a Chridhe ('Hearts at peace' in Gaelic), is a luxury three bedroom, new build self-catering cottage nestled within the tranquil village of Morar in Inverness-shire. The cottage sleeps 6 plus one infant under the age of 2 and is a few minutes walk from the famous 'Silver sands of Morar' and a 5 minute drive away from Camusdarroch beach of 'Local Hero' fame.

Fois a Chridhe is beautifully finished and is the perfect blend of modern convenience and traditional charm, which appeals to adults and children alike.

The cottage benefits from most modern amenities, including oil fired central heating throughout. The latter makes it a cosy retreat whatever the time of year.

In addition gas and electricity, towels and bed linen are included at no additional cost in the rental price.

Directions
Nearest Tourist Information Centres are in Mallaig at the Ferry terminal just across from the railway station and Fort William. Mallaig is 2 miles from Fois a Chridhe and approximately 3 minutes drive.Buses and trains run from Mallaig to Morar (see below). The Fort William TIC is at Cameron Square,Fort William,Lochaber. PH33 6AJ,Scotland.Tel:+44 (8452) 255121.Fax:+44 (1506) 832222. The TIC is approximately half a mile from the railway station and a three minute walk.From the TIC to the station at Tom-na-Faire (Station Square, Fort William, Highland, PH33 6TQ. 0845 601 5929), head NE along Fassifern Rd towards Hill Rd,turn right toward the A82/Belford Rd, then left at A82 Belford Rd. At the Round about take the 3rd exit and stay on the A82 Belford rd heading for Mallaig/A830/ Inverness. Turn left towards Nevis Terrace then turn left at Nevis terrace. Turn right and the station is on the right.

By car Fois a Chridhe is a 3 1/4 hour drive from Glasgow and 3 1/2 hours from Edinburgh, depending on traffic & weather conditions. It is a beautiful drive passing through some of Scotland's most stunning scenery.
The starting point for the 'Road to the Isles' is at Fort William, at the head of Loch Linnhe, which is on the A82. This can be approached from the South either via Glasgow and Loch Lomond to Crianlarich and thence to Fort William or by heading for Stirling on the M9 and turning off at Junction 10 to Doune, Callander, Crianlarich and Fort William. Once through Fort William turn left onto the A830 marked 'Road to the Isles' to Glenfinnan, Arisaig and Mallaig for a journey of breathtaking scenery.
Car hire/rental can be booked online through Bespoke Highland Tours who can arrange for your vehicle to be waiting for you at Glasgow Airport. Car hire is also available locally from Morar Motors (phone 01687 462118). For all Public Transport you are advised to check with the operator. By BUS : Citylink runs daily bus services between Fort William and Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness and Shiel Buses operate a service between Fort William and Mallaig. Tel: 01967 431 272.

By Rail To reach north-west Scotland by rail from England, one of the most convenient options is the Caledonian Sleeper. This service departs from London Euston and travels overnight to Fort William (reservations required).
The Scotrail train service runs all year from Glasgow to Fort William and on to Mallaig.The service from Glasgow leaves three times aday and takes about 4 hours.The West Highland Line which runs between Fort William and Mallaig is a famously scenic train ride and is one of BBC's 10 Great Railway Journeys of the World. This departs four times a day and takes about an hour.
During the summer you can take this spectacular ride on the Jacobite Steam Train. For 2009, this service operates Monday - Friday from 18th May - 9th October / Saturday & Sunday from 27th June - 30th August. Departs from Fort William railway station at 10.20am. It is operated by the West Coast Railway Company Ltd. Book your tickets online via their web site or telephone 01524 732100. The steam train leaves Fort William at 10:20, stops at Glenfinnan for about 20 minutes and arrives at Mallaig at 12:25. It then leaves Mallaig at 14:10 and arrives at Fort William at 16:00

By Ferry
Caledonian MacBrayne operates a roll-on roll-off car ferry between Mallaig and Armadale on Skye. They also have frequent sailings from Mallaig to the Small Isles (Muck, Eigg, Rum and Canna). Arisaig Marine runs day trips for foot-passengers to the Small Isles from Arisaig from late April until late September. Tel: 01687 450224.
