With an attractive stone fireplace in the lounge, some beautiful beamed ceilings exposed stone work, and a window seat deep set in two-foot thick walls.
The Cotter Beck runs alongside the stone walls of its garden, attracting many species of birds and animals including red squirrels. From the cottage, there are spectacular views across the green meadows and uplands pastures, a maze of stonewalls between which sheep, and cattle peacefully graze.
What more could a person ask for in a truly restful escape to the country? Yet, the bustling market town of Hawes is located just 4 miles away.
Ground floor:
Lounge: Character lounge beamed ceilings, with an attractive stone fireplace housing a cast iron fire, A window seat deep set in two foot thick walls, TV-DVD, radio-CD, pay phone and a piano.
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge with ice box, automatic washing machine-tumble dryer, slow cooker and breakfast table and chairs.
Dinning room: With dinning table and chairs.
Up stairs:
Master bedroom: An impressive spacious bedroom with a double bed, exposed beams and roof trusses.
Bedroom: With twin beds and triple aspect windows, beamed ceiling. Accessed by master bedroom.
Bathroom: Beautiful fully tiled bathroom, walk in 8mm sliding door shower enclosure shower seat with back, WC, wash basin, shaver socket and hair dryer.
Outside:
Porch: For de-booting. A small set of garden tools if you wish to to a bit of gardening and some walking sticks.
Garden: Patio area with garden furniture, barbecue and a large container of fresh herbs for guests' use. The garden also has a picnic table located on the grass. There is a a bench seat overlooking the clear waters of Cotterdale Beck which flows along the bottom of the garden.
Baby: A travel cot (please bring your own linen), high chair or booster, baby bath, baby carrier and stair gate. are available if requested at the time of booking free of charge.
Pets: 2 well behaved pets welcome. (A stair gate is available if required)
