A self contained little cottage, nestled in the woods of the beautiful New Forest. Actually situated on the Avon Valley Path, it is a walker's paradise - without even having to get in the car to enjoy it. Great for dogs too, which is why here at Avon Vale, we make them very welcome.
Avon Vale Garden Cottage has just been refurbished to a very high standard in a contemporary fashion. With a cosy wood burner it has a good size lounge, with wooden oak flooring, and double doors leading out to the patio. There is sky (freeview) TV, video and DVD, and CD player.
The kitchen although well equipped has limited cooking facilities, a 2 ring hob and microwave. There is also a fridge and full size sink.
The shower room has been completely refurbished with modern large white wall tiles with contrasting black floor tiles and white shower, hand basin and toilet.
The double bedroom has a full size hanging wardrobe and large chest of drawers.
Outside there is a small private patio area with table and chairs complete with BBQ.

Directions
From the M3 motorway:
Come off at junction 13 – not the first exit to Chandler's Ford, but for the M27, therefore keeping in the left hand lane, go under the overhead sign for Bournemouth, and this will take you straight onto the link road for the M27. You will enter the M27 at junction 4. Come off at junction 1, signposted 'The New Forest'.
At the exit roundabout take the turning for Fordingbridge (last exit on the roundabout), and you will then be entering the Forest, and will go over a cattle grid.
It is one road through the forest, with 2 left hand forks to take, both signposted to Fordingbridge. (At the first one there is also a small left hand turn directly before the left hand fork – it is the fork you need to take).
After the second fork, there is a long stretch of open forest road, until you come to a pub on your right called the 'Fighting Cocks', with a signpost to Woodgreen indicated right. Turn right here (at the pub), and follow the small winding lane going across a ford, following any signs to Woodgreen.
After a few minutes or so you will be driving along a straight piece of road with grass edges and fenced in woodland on either side. As you go down a small hill at the end keep looking right and you will see a small turning called Brook Lane – this is just as you go past the actual village sign for Woodgreen. Turn right into Brook Lane, which has cottages on each side (probably horses and cows too!). Follow the lane to the top and you will come out on our common, follow the road across the common until you can go no further and there will be a brick pillar box on your left.
Go straight across the road (like a 'T' junction in front of you) and go onto our gravel track. This track will then fork left and right; take the left hand fork and Avon Vale is about the third house down on the right. Our drive lays back and you only see it from the road once you get up to it and drive into it. There you will see Avon Vale on the gate.
You can come through the gate (must keep it shut at all times because of all the animals!!), and you will pass the annexe on your right. Our stable / garage is directly ahead of you and you may park in front of that , but if you could park towards the left hand fence, therefore allowing us to get our cars through we'd be very grateful.
We look forward to meeting you, and hope you really enjoy your stay at Avon Vale.
