Skyloft

Beaminster
Cottage's own web site
Skyloft is a purpose designed and built studio, with great attention given to detail to provide very light and comfortable accommodation making the most of the stunning views.

In fact in some areas to enhance your comfort there has been no compromise. Skyloft is strictly for two with a very comfortable double bed.

Also the shower room is NOT a cupboard in the corner but is light and roomy with plenty of headroom and the shower is good with a glass door, to the high standard of all of the fittings.

The well equipped kitchen area includes: fridge with freezer compartment, washer-dryer, cooker with grill and ceramic hotplates, microwave plus all the obvious small items like toaster, kettle etc.

There is generous cupboard space in the kitchen and other areas (plenty of drawers and hanging space for clothes). If you happen to get a wet day when you don't feel like going out (well you might be so relaxed in Skyloft you don't feel like going far anyway!) there is a decent sized flat screen TV together with a DVD-CD player with a selection of DVDs and CDs. There are also plenty of books, games, local maps, details of places to visit and magazines.

The heating is all electric with efficient panel heaters, although because Skyloft is very well insulated you probably won't need to use them much.

Outside there is the generous balcony with stunning views that has already been mentioned in detail in the outside facilities. Off the balcony by the main entrance is a boot and coat cupboard that facilitates drying, if you get caught in the rain.

As you may have gathered Skyloft is good for you and the environment, so there is a recycling cupboard around the back where you can place your rubbish, in separate containers to be recycled.

Off road parking is provided. Beaminster Square is 800m away and local footpaths only 200m away. Hardy Country is all around, together with the strong local arts scene highlighted in Bridport (6 miles) and Lyme Regis (11 miles).

The Jurassic coast (6 miles) with local Chesil Beach, Golden Cap and Charmouth;Lyme Regis are all very near. In short you cannot fail to enjoy your stay, whether you stay very local or go further afield, Beaminster and West Dorset is a stunning place.
