The old brewery is about 5 minutes walk from the centre of the historic town of Newark with its castle ruins dating back to 1068, beautiful St. Mary’s church, River Trent cruises, market square, cinema, restaurants and bars galore. Newark is also famous for its annual County Show held in May and regular Antique & Collectors Fairs.
There are many other things to see and do locally, including Southwell Minster, the famous Major Oak, home of Robin Hood; City of Nottingham with its castle, shops, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, Goose Fayre is only 16 miles away; City of Lincoln with its historic cathedral, castle and Christmas fayre.
