2, High Street is owned by the National Trust. It is an attractive terraced cottage at the heart of the picturesque village of Lacock, a popular location for film and television. The cottage was used by the stars of Cranford (the popular costume drama) to relax in between takes.

This comfortable cottage has been recently refurbished and is decorated and equipped to a high standard. It can sleep up to six people and has a large back garden with south facing patio and outdoor furniture.

The timbered cruck-framed 15th-century house has interesting 16th, 18th and 19th century additions and features.

Lacock benefits from a variety of good pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is an attractive children’s play area within two hundred yards, a village shop, bakery and gift shops.

It is an ideal place to stay and explore the Cotswolds, Bath, Stonehenge and the South West and is 15 minutes south of the M4. 4 * gold rating (English Tourist Board) .

Directions
From Junction 17, take the A350 south.
After about 10 minutes, at a traffic light junction, Lacock is signed to the left. Follow this road into village. The High Street also contains the village school, Post Office, National Trust Shop and the cottage is next to the Red Lion Pub. Parking is reserved in front of the cottage.
