Holme Crest is a three bedroomed holiday cottage in Staithes, on the North Yorkshire Coast. It is available to let for weekends, short breaks and longer holidays.
The cottage is situated in the heart of the old town of Staithes, just a minute from the sea in one direction, and a minute from the cliffs of the Cleveland Way above.
The cottage has one double bedroom, one bunk bedroom and one single room.
Staithes is an historic fishing village at the furthest end of the Yorkshire coast, just before it reaches Cleveland. The Old Town is reached via a steep bank; it's one cobbled street means that for the most part cars are left at the top of the village, making it a pleasant and safe environment away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The Old Town has two pubs, a local butchers, a Post Office, small gift shops and a gallery, as well as a cafe and a bistro.
It is famed for being the home of James Cook, who for a time was an apprentice in a shop on Church Street, and the Staithes Group of Artists who painted there in the early twentieth century.
