Enjoy England:   3 star
Cottage's own web site
Holly Lodge has recently been converted to a high standard, and is situated adjacent to Holly Tree Cottage, which was built in the 17th century in the traditional Herefordshire half-timbered style.

The Lodge has two bedrooms; it sleeps four in one double and two single beds. A spacious sitting room and good-sized kitchen give a nice feeling of space, with ample off-road parking for two cars.

At Holly Lodge you will find everything you need for a carefree holiday.

The Lodge is fully equipped and furnished for four adults, with wall to wall carpets, instant hot water, colour television and central heating in season.

Bed linen, towels and tea-towels are all supplied, and electricity and heating are also included in the tariff.

Holly Lodge may cause difficulties for people with mobility difficulties, though we would be happy to discuss any particular requirements.

The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized electric cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator with ice box and all the cutlery and crockery you may need.

The comfortably furnished spacious sitting room is triple aspect, with colour television, electric fire, books and games. Double french doors lead to a patio garden, for the use of the Lodge guests.

There is ample private parking for two cars.

The bathroom is also on the ground floor and is equipped with a full-sized bath with shower over, and a shaver point.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are in the cottage style with sloping ceilings.
One has twin beds, and the other a double bed, and are equipped with a duvet and two pillows per person.

A wardrobe is provided on the landing and each room has ample drawer space.

The double bedroom is galleried and overlooks the kitchen and the raised area at one end affords good views of the distant hills.

We are at Burley Gate, just off a quiet lane midway between the cathedral city of Hereford and Bromyard, in the heart of rural Herefordshire. Distant views of the Welsh mountains may be enjoyed from the upstairs windows of the Lodge.

Because we have a policy of no children, no smoking and no pets at Holly Lodge, it is popular with allergy-sufferers, who are welcome.
