Throstle Nest Cottage is situated in a remote location on the edge of Littlebeck, 2 miles from Sleights and 5 miles from Whitby. A stone built single storey cottage, attached to the owners' farmhouse and set in 7 acres of woodland and fields, the cottage is an ideal rural retreat for couples.
It provides a great base for walking/driving to explore this spectacular area of the countryside. Ideally located close to the North York Moors and within easy reach of the dramatic East Yorkshire coastline.
A haven for walkers and adventurous cyclists, the surrounding countryside offers numerous footpaths and bridleways, some of which can be accessed from the cottage. Maps, guide books and suggested itineraries are provided for your use.
The cottage has a lounge-diner, separate small well equipped kitchen, 1 spacious double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Garden and patio area overlooking the beck. Private parking.
All linen and towels are provided.
The cottage is approached via a country lane and across two fords (which are normally dry), however in very wet weather cars may need to be left 0.25 miles from the property due to high water levels in the fords.
The property is a no-smoking property and no pets are allowed.
Guests are requested to arrive after 3.00pm on the first day and leave by 10.00am on the day of departure.
A haven for walkers.

At the bottom of the hill turn left (signposted Alum House - no through road) and follow the lane down to the ford. Go over the ford and bear left along a minor country lane, continue along this lane, go round the second ford which is curved and proceed up the private road - Throstle Nest is at the top.
