Primrose Hall is a Grade 2 listed two bedroom (1 double, 1 twin) holiday cottage, lovingly converted by the current owners from a disused meeting hall built in 1860 for The Primrose League, a Conservative association which allowed women members, decades before women had the right to vote.
It is in the village of Empingham and is within walking distance from Rutland Water. The historic market town of Stamford (home to the magnificent Burghley House) and Oakham are both under 8 miles away.
The cottage itself is renovated to a very high standard and contains many of its original features, including oak floors and doors throughout and exposed beams.
The open plan living area is spacious yet cosy and the kitchen is well equipped and modern. All linen and energy costs are included.
Rutland Water's Fishing Lodge, Sailing Club, Watersports Centre, Bird Watching Centre, Cycle Hire and Rokblok are all within 5 miles, as are Barnsdale Gardens, a pay and play golf course and a Falconry Centre.
The village boasts a pub serving hot home-cooked meals all day, a shop (open seven days a week) a doctors surgery and a hairdressers.
Ideally positioned for Rutland Water.
Unique with an interesting history.
