Directions
From Penrith:
Drive 22 mins east along the A686, at Alston follow the B6277 4 miles to Garrigill.In 2001 this route was nominated one of the top ten most scenic drives in the world.

From Carlisle:
45 mins south east of Carlisle, towards Brampton (Jct 44 M6 on A689), at Brampton turn right towards Alston (A689), then follow to Garrigill (B6277).

From the South:
60 mins north of Scotch Corner, follow to Barnard Castle (A66), at Barnard Castle turn off towards Middleton-in-Teesdale (B6277), drive through the beautiful Tees Valley towards Alston. Before Alston turn off at Garrigill.

From the East:
50 mins south west of Hexham, follow towards Carlisle (A69), turn left just before Haydon Bridge towards Alston (A686 past Langley Castle). At Alston follow to Garrigill (B6277).
