Nailmakers Cottage, Presteigne
Nailmakers cottage was originally a workshop built in the 18th century. Its use, as the name says, was to make nails. On conversion to a cottage the original nail making machine was removed to the Museum of Wales in Cardiff.

Directions

The address is Nailmakers Cottage, 1 Craftmans Mews, Broad St, Presteigne, Powys, LD8 2AA. Its easy to find. Make your way to the town centre (the locals call it a town but is more like a village). In the centre of the town you will see a post office on the corner. Head downhill 50yds and you will see the Duke pub on your right. Directly opposite this is an archway that leads into Craftsmans Mews. Our cottage is on the left.
Public transport is limited in the area.
