Directions
From Sumburgh Airport:
If you're arriving by air, you can easily reach Hillside Brae by hire car or bus. If you're driving, take the A970 northwards for about 21 miles until you see the Moor Park Golf Driving Range, a timber-clad building, on the right. Immediately beyond it, turn right onto a single track road and follow it for about half a mile. When you see a sign pointing to Hillside Brae Self-Catering, turn left and proceed uphill to the turning area at the end of the road, where you'll find the house on the left of the road. The journey should take around 35 minutes.

From Northlink Ferry Terminal Lerwick:
If you're arriving by sea, turn left as you leave the ferry terminal, towards the centre of Lerwick, and follow signs for Sumburgh, bearing right at each of the three roundabouts you'll encounter. The road rises sharply as it leaves Lerwick; once you've climbed the steepest part of the hill, you'll see a sign for Gulberwick. Turn left here and follow the single-track road for about three quarters of a mile, passing the Gulberwick Community Hall on the right. At the first junction after the Hall, you'll see a sign pointing to Hillside Brae Self-Catering; turn right here and drive uphill to the turning point, where the house is to the left. This journey should take less than ten minutes.

If you're travelling by bus from either Lerwick or Sumburgh Airport:
It is best to get off at the southern Gulberwick junction.
