Throstle Nest Cottage, Whitby
Throstle Nest Cottage is situated in a remote location on the edge of Littlebeck, 2 miles from Sleights and 5 miles from Whitby. A stone built single storey cottage, attached to the owners' farmhouse and set in 7 acres of woodland.

Take the A169 from Pickering to Whitby. Just before the village of Sleights you will see a sign for Blue Bank and approximately 200 yards down Blue Bank turn right to Littlebeck. At the bottom of the hill turn left (signposted Alum House - no through road) and follow the lane down to the ford. Go over the ford and bear left along a minor country lane, continue along this lane, go round the second ford which is curved and proceed up the private road - Throstle Nest is at the top.
