Bywater Lake is a haven for wildlife and is set on the edge of the small village of Newport at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds. Comprising of a luxury log cabin, overlooking a mature three acre lake set within nine acres of landscaped gardens, woodland and meadowland.

As the occupier of the cabin you will have exclusive use of this beautiful lake, making Bywater perfect for a tranquil getaway or a fisherman's haven. As well as an array of wildlife around the lake, there is an excellent stock of mirror carp, common carp, bream tench, rudd, roach, perch, eels, pike and ghost carp.

The log cabin is finished to a very high standard with luxury fixtures and fine furnishings to make your stay very comfortable. It consists of open plan living and dining areas with a 42" LCD T.V. including freeview with a modern kitchen including dishwasher, cooker and hob, fridge with icebox and microwave.

There are two bedrooms made up by one king-size room with en suite bathroom and large shower, and one twin bedroom with the use of an additional family bathroom.

The large veranda provides table and chairs and a hot tub large enough for 4 people overlooking a patio barbecue area (barbecue provided from Spring to Autumn).

The fishing on the lake is exclusive for the residents of the log cabin and unhooking mats and landing nets are provided. There is also a shed with a bait fridge and storage for fishing tackle.

There are local amenities nearby and you can take a lovely canal side walk or bicycle ride to the small friendly village of Newport with 3 pubs, 2 shops, 1 restaurant and 3 takeaways.

Other attractions in the surrounding area include the Wetlands Nature Reserve, the historic towns of Howden and Beverley, Goole Waterways Museum, the Deep Aquarium, the east coast and the historic City of York with attractions such as York Dungeons, Jorvik Viking Centre, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, York Minster and plenty more.

Exit M62 at Junction 38 onto the B1230 towards Newport. Continue through the village past the local shops and under the overhead bridge where you will turn right down Thimblehall Lane. Turn right again at the end of the road and Bywater Lake is the second property on the right, gate set within large Beech hedge.
