We have three luxury cottages sleeping 4, 6 and 2 in a rural situation on the outskirts of the village of Plumpton Green. Heath Farm is a small working farm within sight of the South Downs and just outside the proposed National Park. We have easy access to London, Gatwick airport, Brighton, Lewes, villages and countryside.

The cottages were created in 2004 from the original brick milking parlour and stables. The conversion has been carried out to a very high standard with oak planked doors and skirtings, fully carpeted throughout, and with Laura Ashley furnishings.

There is a view of the South Downs from the front windows and french doors open out onto the shared courtyard with tables, chairs, flower tubs etc.

Parlour Cottage has two bedrooms, one double with ensuite wet shower room and one twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower). The entrance hall leads into a large living room with sofa and easy chairs and a separate dining area. This room is equipped with TV/DVD/Video/Freeview. There is a separate kitchen with fridge, washing machine and dish-washer. A tumble dryer is available in a separately accessed utility room shared with other two cottages.

Stable Cottage has three bedrooms, one double with ensuite bathroom (with shower), a twin bedroom and a third bedroom which can be used as a single or twin room. A level-entry wet shower room across the hall is shared by these two rooms. The entrance hall leads into a large living room with sofas and chairs and there is a separate dining area with views over the 'lawn' and field beyond. The room has TV/DVD/Video/Freeview. There is a separate kitchen with fridge, washing machine and dish-washer. A tumble dryer is available in a separately accessed utility room shared with other two cottages.

Rose Cottage has one bedroom with twin beds, ensuite with the bath/shower room. The through living room has a fully fitted kitchen overlooking the garden at one end, with a fully carpeted living area facing south with glazed door through onto the enclosed courtyard. The living area is furnished with comfortable sofa, chairs, dining table, and TV/DVD/CD/Freeview. The kitchen area has fridge, washing machine, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, etc. A tumble dryer is available in a separately accessed utility room shared with the other two cottages.

We are very conveniently placed with good access to places of interest and transport links. Gatwick airport is half an hour away by road and can also be accessed by train from Plumpton Green station (1.5 miles) or from Haywards Heath (5 miles). The journey to London from the same stations takes about an hour.

Our local town is Lewes which is an historic, picturesque and highly individual place with many interesting aspects and small owner run shops. There are also many interesting local villages to visit, Ditchling and Lindfield particularly. Two other local towns, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, offer the more usual chain shops and supermarkets. The Regency seaside city of Brighton and Hove with its shopping Lanes and theatres, clubs and restaurants is about 15 miles away.

There are many National trust properties within a few miles,eg. Wakehurst Place, Sheffield Park gardens, Nymans Gardens, Standen, as well as other gardens and historic buildings such as Charleston Farmhouse, home of the Bloomsbury group, Anne of Cleves house in Lewes, Sissinghurst gardens and many others. Glyndebourne is about ten miles away. The Bluebell Railway is about seven miles away.

For walking, there are the South Downs offering spectacular views from Ditchling Beacon and Devils Dyke, and there are many local footpaths including two that cross the farm.

Heath Farm is a working farm with free range chickens and sheep. We sell free range chickens and lamb and mutton from the farm at five Farmers' Markets each month. Visitors are free to walk around the farm and we can show you the most recent arrivals of day old chicks if you ask.

You will be assured of a very warm welcome from both of us and if we can help in any way during your stay then we will be pleased to do so.
