Welcome to our newly refurbished holiday cottage situated in Ardwell, in the South Rhins, South West Scotland close to local beaches but away from all the hustle and bustle. 11 miles south of Stranraer and 6 miles north of Scotland`s most southerly town Drummore. The Mull of Galloway is about 12 miles away.The cottage is situated 100 metres from the sea shore of Luce Bay the front of the cottage faces east out towards the bay.
Our cottage is a new holiday let fully refurbished to a high standard, all new furniture and beds and sleeps four. The master bedroom having a king size bed and the second bedroom with two singles.
Luce cottage has been fully refurbished to a very high standard and the kitchen fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine with dryer, toaster and electric kettle.
All new crockery, utensils, pots, pans and all that is needed for self catering. Tea and coffee is included.
A good sized bathroom includes an electric shower over the bath and the cosy lounge/diner which is well furnished has a new LCD TV with DVD and CD player incorporated, also an electric stove effect fire.
The heating is by storage heaters and the rental includes electricity, there is a hair dryer, iron and board.
Sandhead has a very good Hotel and Restaurant while Portpatrick has several around the lovely harbour and some small shops, a very pleasant place to visit.
Port Logan Inn overlooks the beautiful sandy bay and serves very good meals.
There are spectacular views from The Mull with its Lighthouse, RSPB reserve and visitors centre. Also Gallie Craig coffee house. This area must not be missed.
Logan Botanic Gardens is a must and Ardwell Gardens, Castle Kennedy and Glenwhan Gardens are well worth a visit. Logan Fish Pond was originally created in 1800 to form a larder for fresh fish, it is now the home of many types of sea fish that can be fed by hand.
Stena & P&O ferries run daily crossings from Stranraer to Belfast or Cairnryan to Larne for a visit to Ireland.
The area is ideal for walking, cycling, fishing, golf and bird watching, seals are often seen down in the bay near the cottage.

Directions
rom the North:
Follow the A77 to Stranraer, follow the signs to Portpatrick then take the A716 for Drummore.
From the South and East:
Take the A75 from Gretna to Dumfries and on towards Stranraer, 2 miles west of Glenluce take the turn onto the B7084 for Drummore.
On reaching Ardwell take the first turn on your right then the first on your left into Ardwell Park. Luce Cottage is at the end of the road last one on your left hand side.

The cottage will be available after 2.00pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on daparture day.
Normal bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.
