Cottage's own web site
Delightfully cosy (traditional Suffolk) flint cottage in the quiet, friendly market town of Saxmundham just 4 miles from Benjamin Britten's concert hall at Snape Maltings and 8 miles from the ever-popular seaside town of Aldeburgh on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Inside, the rooms are light and airey with pleasant views from each window. The open-plan living area has a lovely feature fireplace for open log-fires on winter evenings, TV/DVD/Video/CD/radio and small library of books, films and card/board-games.

The kitchen/diner area is fully equipped with (electric) oven/hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and a good range of utensils, small appliances, etc., plus plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses. There are initial supplies of tea, coffee, etc., plus fresh milk on arrival.

The shower room has a spacious shower cubicle and heated towel-rail (for cosy warmed towels in winter).

The utility area has a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

'Corner Cottage' comfortably sleeps 4, in 2 bedrooms (one bedroom can be arranged as either a kingsize double, or as a twin-bedded room - with two 2ft 6inch beds), plus a travel-cot and highchair are available by arrangement.

Saxmundham is an ideal base for exploring the region and its many and varied attractions. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within approx a 30 minutes drive (or accessible via the excellent local train/bus network) - including Southwold, Woodbridge, Framlingham, Orford, Walberswick, Dunwich, Halesworth.

There is so much to see and do locally, such as, birdwatching at RSPB Minsmere (approx 5 miles), golf (several excellent courses to choose from - all within approx 10 miles), horseriding (within 5 miles), angling (choose from rivers, shoreline or fishing from the pier/quays), cycling (cycle-hire within 5 miles) and boating (Beccles is on the edge of the Broads, from where you can hire boats for the day).
