The Knavesmire, which is just over the road from the cottage is a lovely place to walk or exercise your dog.
Conveniently situated for visiting the historic city, national Railway Museum or a day at the races. York races hold several meetings throughout the season.
An excellent pub and restaurant facilities, a fabulous deli and a fish and chip shop are all within 2 minutes walk of the cottage.

Approaching York on the A64 East:
Take the second junction (A1036 York West).
Follow the signs for York city centre. Go straight ahead at the roundabout adjacent to the Tesco supermarket/park and Ride.
Knavesmire Cottage is located on the left hand side, approx half a mile further on.
