A 450 year old cottage situated in a quiet position, being tucked away next to the ancient parish church. Cubert offers easy access to the beaches of Crantock, Polly Joke and Holywell Bay which are all within walking distance.
The cottage was built in the 1500's and offers 2 bedrooms, a double and a twin, as well as 2 living rooms, fitted kitchen and ground floor bathroom. Oil central heating but not often used as the external walls are so thick! Fully double glazed. Electricity and Central heating etc included.
The cottage is comfortably furnished giving a cosy atmosphere.
Multi channel TV, DVD etc.
Outside, there is a pathway shared with next door leading to the private rear garden. Good sized lawn with established borders. Patio with table and benches for al fresco suppers, rotary dryer.
Allocated parking space.
The village offers a general store for everyday provisions, a pub and a couple of great restaurants.
The three local beaches are all within walkable distance of the cottage.
The nearest is Holywell Bay just over a mile away. Polly Joke (or Porth Joke) is a very pretty beach. Crantock a vast sandy beach is similar to Holywell with Dunes, Caves and Rock pools.
The two headlands between the three beaches offer some stunning rugged coastlines with views up to Trevose lighthouse, so typical of North Cornwall.
Although about a mile inland, Cubert Church was often used by sailors as a navigational aid so you should not get lost on your walks if you can see the spire!
The cottage is quietly situated next to the ancient church in Cubert. The area offers fantastic walking opportunities across the National Trust headlands.
The Lost gardens of Heligan and the world famous Eden project are both within 20 miles of Cubert and are well worth a visit.
Newquay , the surf capital of Europe is only 4 miles away and Truro with its Cathedral, shops and boutiques is only 10 miles away. Both are well served from Cubert by regular buses.
The area offers some fantastic restaurants. Most of the local pubs have upimproved dramatically over recent years and offer fine food.
Cubert is especially proud of Odds restaurant which is owned and managed by a local farmer who offers locally sourced food grown and reared on his own land. Jamie Oliver’s 15 is at Watergate Bay and Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant is further up the coast at Padstow.
So after a day walking, surfing or just relaxing on the beach, why not visit a superb restaurant, have good pint and family meal at a local thatched pub or a barbeque and cosy night in, this location has it all !
