Powgavie Farm Cottages lie in the heart of the Carse of Gowrie, Perthshire. These two cottages, each sleeping six, have just been refurbished to a very high standard. They offer spectacular views of the Sidlaw Hills and the River Tay. The cottages are an ideal base for holidaymakers and visitors to explore Perthshire, Angus and Fife. The following are all within one hour or less:

  • Perth ('The Fair City'), St Andrews (the home of golf) and Dundee (the City of Discovery)
  • The championship golf courses at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles
  • Tourist attractions such as Glamis Castle (birthplace of the Queen Mother), Scone Palace (home of the Stone of Destiny), Stirling Castle and Bannockburn
  • For walkers, the Grampian Mountains, the Angus Glens, the Cateran Trail and the Fife Coastal Path.

    Each cottage sleeps 6 and has been renovated to a high standard. The cottages are single storey and have a similar layout.

    Off the main hallway there are 3 bedrooms:
  • Master bedroom with king size bed, ensuite bathroom (shower only) and doors leading to a patio area
  • double bedroom
  • twin bedroom.

    There is also a bathroom (bath with shower over) and a utility room. The hallway leads through the property to an open plan kitchen and living area. There are dining table and chairs, comfortable seating for six, large windows providing fantastic views towards the river Tay and patio doors leading to the garden area.

    In addition to the above, there is a Digital TV (free view), DVD player, ipod docking station, fridge, freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, iron, oil-fired central heating, parking for two cars.

    Linen and towels are provided. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

    The garden area, looking out onto fields with superb views to the River Tay, is a mixture of lawn and patio. A barbeque and outdoor furniture is provided. This is a great area for children to play or for you to simply relax and enjoy the view. There is also a garden shed where bicycles can be stored and an outdoor drying area.

    The two cottages are adjoining but have separate entrances, parking and gardens.

    Directions
    Powgavie Farm cottages are situated just off the A90, Perth - Dundee trunk road:
    Leave the A90, following the sign-post to Inchture. Approaching from either direction, exit the fly-over and proceed to the mini-roundabout taking the 2nd exit following the signpost to Errol. Proceed down this road for approximately 2 miles. When the road turns at a right angle you will see a road going straight on to Powgavie Farm. Take this road, past the farm and the first cottage and the cottages are on the left.
