Located in the picturesque and historic East Neuk (corner) of Fife, Kirkside Cottage is a recently renovated single storey cottage finished in a contemporary style to a very high standard and featuring all the facilities you would expect from a modern holiday cottage.
The cottage is owned and run by Simon and Becca Allan who between them have over 30 years experience in the tourism and hospitality industry and have used this experience to create accommodation that will meet your every need and be the centre piece of a perfect holiday.
Situated in the pretty village of Upper Largo in the shadow of Upper Largo church; it is a 20 minute walk to the nearest beach in Lower Largo (the birthplace of Robinson Crusoe) and 2 minutes from the hospitable Upper Largo Hotel.
A number of walks and cycle routes of various length and difficultly emanate from Upper Largo and there is easy access from the village to one of the most picturesque sections of the Fife Coastal Path.
The East Neuk of Fife is well populated with restaurants catering for all tastes and party make ups, from cosy pubs and award winning fish and chips shops to Michelin stars and Gastro Pubs using fresh local ingredients particularly seafood.
The ancient city of St. Andrews is only 10 miles away; famed as the home of golf, with 7 golf courses including the "Old Course", which hosts the Open Golf Championship every 5 years. It is also steeped in history being the home of St. Andrews University, the third oldest university in the English speaking world, and St. Andrews Cathedral, now a ruin but once the greatest Cathedral in Scotland. Edinburgh is only an hour away by car or public transport and a great day out for all.
Simon and Becca look forward to welcoming you to Kirkside Cottage and ensuring your stay in the East Neuk is memorable for all the right reasons. Should you have any questions about the cottage or the locality please do not hesitate to contact us.
