Directions
Directions to the Old Chocolate Shop and The Old Pack Barn
Hoe Road South, Swanton Morley, Dereham
Norfolk, NR20 4PU
From the West/North
From the west, travel towards Norfolk on the A17 joining the A47 at Kings Lynn. Continue on the A47 towards Dereham (past Swaffham) until you reach the dual carriageway which is the Dereham by-pass.
**Follow the road for a couple of miles until a turning to the left signposted Swanton Morley (B1147)
Take the exit and then turn immediately right and follow road for approximately one mile and take the second left turn. Follow this road for a further two miles until you reach a T junction. Turn right and you are now in the village of Swanton Morley. Follow road for approximately half a mile until you
Reach the Angel P.H. on the left hand side. Turn left immediately past the pub into Hoe Road South.
From the South/South West
From the south/south west, travel towards Norfolk using the A14 or A11. You will by-pass Newmarket on the A14 before joining the A11. At the roundabout at Barton Mills, take the third exit to continue on the A11 to Thetford. At the 4th roundabout on the Thetford by-pass take the lst exit on to the A1075 to Watton and Dereham. As you reach Toftwood on the outskirts of Dereham you will drive under the A47 flyover. Take the next right turn before the traffic lights on to the Dereham by-pass. ** Same route as starred ** above.
For the Old Chocolate Shop turn right after 100 yards into the driveway of Angel Cottage. The Old Chocolate Shop is at the end of the drive immediately in front of you. Please park as close as you wish to your accommodation.
For the Old Pack Barn, take the next turning immediately right between Flint Lodge (a new bungalow on your right) and Angel Lodge (a large house on the left) down an unmade private track and there is a gate 50 yards down on the left hand side for your own private parking. Entrance to the cottage is at the end of this driveway. (We have always found it useful to reverse in as we find it impossible - and very dangerous - to reverse back on to Hoe Road South).
