Friars Cottage is a delightful self-catering cottage in Keswick in the northern Lake District. It is located in a quiet area of the town, only 5 minutes level walk from the town centre.
The cottage has been tastefully refurbished with extensive use of exposed pine, is equipped to a very high standard and provides a comfortable base for couples or families of up to four to explore the Northern Lake District.
Downstairs the cottage has a very comfortable lounge-diner furnished with a beautiful red leather suite. For entertainment there is a widescreen LCD TV, Sky Freesat and a DVD-CD player. The dining area has a modern dining suite with a glass topped table.
The fully equipped kitchen has oven-hob, microwave and a comprehensive range of pots-pans and utensils that will keep any keen cook happy. There is also a separate utility room with dishwasher, freezer, washer-dryer and WC.
Upstairs is the main double bedroom, a second twin bedded room and the bathroom, complete with an over-bath shower.
All bedrooms have stylish iron bedsteads and quality pine furnishings, plus the occasional cuddly toy. A travel cot is also available for guests use.
The cottage has full gas central heating supplied by a combi-boiler, and an electric coal effect fire in the lounge.
At the back of the cottage is a paved garden area, with patio furniture and a barbecue. There is ample on-street parking in this quiet area of Keswick.
Keswick is the main town in the northern Lake District and is located on the shores of Derwentwater, at the foot of Skiddaw, one of the Lake Districts 3000ft mountains.
It is an ideal location for exploring the spectacular scenery of the northern Lake District, with some of the best walks in the district to be found around
Derwentwater, Borrowdale and the easily accessible Northern Fells.
