Lantallack is a lovely old Georgian farm, set in 40 acres in the heart of south east Cornwall, close to the Tamar Valley and bordering an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB).
Only 20 minutes from Plymouth, it is a place for the free-spirited, for those who yearn something different and special; beautiful views across undulating countryside and wooded valleys, big open skies and unforgettable sunsets. Its peaceful situation makes it an ideal retreat for a truly relaxing holiday.
POLLY'S BOWER (Sleeps 2)
This is a romantic retreat that has been converted from a 300-year-old apple-crushing barn into a beautiful, contemporary open-plan hideaway for two.
All the old peg beams and trusses have been restored sympathetically, retaining much of its original charm.
On a sunny morning, you can enjoy breakfast on the patio outside, taking in the view of the orchard, or on a cold day curl up with a book on the settee in front of the log-burner (after a lovely hot soak in the big free-standing bath upstairs!).
There is an additional shower, beautifully fitted kitchen and inglenook dining area (where the apple press once stood) and a welcome hamper of local goodies greets you on arrival.
PIPPIN COTTAGE (Sleeps 6)
This delightful secluded cottage was once Lantallacks old coach house.
It has three double bedrooms, a bathroom, an additional shower room and open-beamed sitting room with log fire.
It has its own private driveway and a large enclosed garden.
French windows lead on to the patio, where you can sit and watch the sun go down across the valley. A welcome hamper of local goodies greets you on arrival.
Both cottages have TV-video, CD-iPod-player, dishwasher, log fire, washing line and access to an onsite laundry with washing machine and dryer.
Spectacular views across undulating hills and wooded valleys.
Superb solar-heated Swimming pool in very private setting.

Local Services: The cottage lies between the picturesque villages of Landrake and Tideford, both
approximately 1 mile away. Landrake has its own Post Office/Village store whilst
Tideford boasts a wonderful butcher (who sells delicious sausages and locally reared
and properly hung meat). And the for the best crab baguette in Cornwall, head to the
Rod and Line, across the fields, where Sunday ‘lunch’ starts at 5.30pm!
Close to South Cornish coast, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, internationally-acclaimed golf course at St Mellion and National Trust properties. Not too far from Eden Project.
Take the A38 bypassing Plymouth towards Liskeard:
Cross the Tamar Bridge, bypassing Saltash. From Carkeel Roundabout continue for 3 miles until you reach the village of Landrake on your left at the top of the hill. Keeping on A38, go underneath the footbridge and take your second turning right (signposted New Barton). After 1 mile turn left at the white cottage and hen farm, signposted Tideford. (Do not go straight on to Tideford Cross) Lantallack is about 200 metres down the lane on the right hand side.
