Courtyard House is the largest of our self catering holiday cottages on our farm at Houndridge. A lovely rural location yet only three miles from the historic town of Kelso, famous for its salmon fishing on the River Tweed, Floors Castle and the ruins of Kelso Abbey.
Several historic houses and gardens are in the area. For the sport minded we have our private Leisure Club at Houndridge with swimming, tennis, squash and fitness suite. Horse riding and fishing are nearby with golf courses in abundance including the Championship golf course nearby at Roxburgh.
Houndridge is ideally situated for touring the Borders yet only approximately 30 minutes from the coast and an hour's drive from Edinburgh.
Courtyard House is a detached house with magnificent views of the Cheviot Hills, ideal for the larger party or for smaller groups that like a lot of space. With seven bedrooms it can sleep up to a maximum of twelve people.
On ground level is a lounge/dining room, small lounge. Spacious kitchen with breakfast area and patio doors leading to the garden. The kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, microwave, fridge and a fridge freezer. Shower room. Studio area has sitting area leading to two bedrooms and bathroom.
First floor is five bedrooms, two single bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and a double bedroom ensuite. Welcome tray, Bed linen and towels are provided.
