The Lodge in Autumn

Garve
Cottage's own web site
Corriemoillie Lodge is superbly situated in the heart of the Highlands, so whether you like walking, climbing, fishing, stalking, bird watching, cycling, riding, water sports, golf or just relaxing and enjoying the stunning scenery and fresh air, there is something for everyone, the perfect place for a peaceful Scottish holiday!

Corriemoillie Lodge is a former shooting lodge that was once the home of the legendary elephant hunter W.D.M. Bell, the ultimate adventurer who was known as "Karamojo" Bell after the wild country in Africa where he spent many years and gained his reputation.

The Lodge is south facing in a secluded and peaceful location surrounded by shrubs and a wide variety of mature trees, with magnificent views towards Lochluichart and the Strathconon hills.

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area - red squirrels, deer, pine martins and many species of birds can be spotted without even leaving the garden !

Guests staying at Upper Corriemoillie have a self contained apartment covering the whole of the 2nd floor. The accommodation is finished to a very high standard and has a wealth of character with coombed ceilings, original fireplaces and stunning views. There are 3 good sized bedrooms - 1 twin, 1 double and 1 room with both a double and single bed, plus a large bathroom with shower, a separate, additional WC and a fully equipped kitchen / living room. There is an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, drinks cooler, dishwasher, washer dryer, TV, CD / cassette player etc.

Accommodation is provided on a weekly self catering basis. The apartment sleeps 6 people and all linen and towels are included. There is also a welcome pack on arrival including free range eggs from our own chickens ! There is electric heating and water and the electricity used will be charged at 10p / unit.

Friendly, well-behaved pets are welcome and kennels can be provided in one of the outbuildings.

Please note that Upper Corriemoillie is unsuitable for those with disabilities as access is via a narrow, winding staircase with low headroom in places.

Corriemoillie Lodge is just 40 minutes from Inverness Airport with direct flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Southampton, Bristol, Exeter, Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
