The view from Coille Bheag

Nr Poolewe
Cottage's own web site
Ideally placed for walking, fishing, boating, watching wildlife or just relaxing, both properties at COILLE BHEAG command spectacular views of the mountains of the Great Wilderness and the Torridons; only a few minutes' drive away from the world-famous Inverewe Gardens.

The properties are set in six acres of working croft land on the shores of Loch Ewe, with pedestrian access to the loch shore and close to several wonderful sandy beaches.

THE LODGE at Coille Bheag is a brand new architect-designed luxury timber eco-cabin, built to the very latest energy-saving specifications for heating, lighting and insulation. It sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms, plus baby in cot.

The living space and full-equipped kitchen are on the ground floor, which is a spacious open plan area with a high cathedral ceiling; polished wooden floor and huge windows commanding spectacular views of Loch Ewe and the mountains beyond. The room is furnished with sofa and armchairs, dining table and chairs, desk and satellite TV/DVD.

The kitchen is fully equipped with large butler sink, polished wood work surfaces, electric cooker and extractor hood, microwave, large fridge/freezer, spacious cupboards, automatic washing machine, toaster, kettle and ironing board/iron.

There's a loft-style master bedroom, with king-size bed on the mezzanine, a second double bedroom and shower room on the ground floor.

THE COTTAGE is a traditional rustic stone-built croft house, well over a century old; it sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms, two double and one twin, plus baby in cot.

The living room has a stove, which burns coal or wood, set in the original old stone fireplace. The room has a TV and VCR as well as a 2-seater sofa, a coffee table and two armchairs.

The spacious kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, spacious cupboards, automatic washing machine, toaster and ironing board/iron. There is a dining table and chairs and all cookware, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided.

There is also a heated conservatory area, where you can put your feet up, enjoy a smoke, or just enjoy the panoramic views.

Like the bathroom, the main double bedroom is on the ground floor, giving easy access for those with limited mobility. It has electric heating, a king-size iron bedstead and many original furnishings and features.

Upstairs there are two further bedrooms - converted sleeping lofts - one double and one single, with a second full-size pull-out bed if required.

Whichever property you stay in, we can usually supply home-grown organic produce and freshly-laid free-range eggs.

All fuel and lighting costs are included in the price you pay.
