Cottage's own web site
Quality self-catering holiday home chalets set amongst magnificent scenery, with coastal sea-loch and mountain views, in the beautiful north-west of the Scottish Highlands.

Each property is south or west facing and has stunning views over the sea-loch towards some of the most majestic mountains in Assynt.

Set in well kept, fenced grounds, in the small, quiet and peaceful crofting community of Baddidarrach, (which comes from the Gaelic to mean 'a cluster of oaks'); and yet only a short twenty minute walk will take you down into the village of Lochinver, for all local shops, post office, bank, restaurant, pub, leisure centre and amenities.

Come and explore this beautiful part of the Highlands, with an abundance of wildlife and dramatic scenery on your doorstep. Enjoy breathtaking scenery in an unspoiled landscape, spot eagles and otters, puffins and dolphins, go fishing, bird watching, walking or climbing. Take a guided walk into the hill with a ranger or simply laze on our golden sands, in the peace and tranquillity of the Scottish Highlands.

We have a choice of accommodation; from a luxury 1-bedroom chalet with a king size double-bedded room and a bathroom with en-suite corner Jacuzzi Whirlpool spa bath and corner shower.

Quality 2 bedroom chalets, with one double bedded and one twin bedded room, shower-room with an instant heat shower, W.C. and wash hand basin, an open plan living room/kitchen/dinning area.

Each chalet has its own balcony with garden furniture and there is plenty of space for you to enjoy a barbecue, late into the evening during the long summer months.

Very well appointed, fully equipped with all modern conveniences which include, colour TV, video recorder, hi-fi, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, washing machine/dryer, coffee-maker and electric blankets, making this an ideal 'home from home'.

Also available is a quality 2-bedroom cottage with stunning sea-loch and mountain views, upstairs bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and downstairs shower-room. New for 2008. A separate lounge with reclining leather sofa and chairs, TV, video recorder and hi-fi and a fully fitted kitchen with oak units and all modern conveniences.

We are open all year round and offer short stay breaks out of the main season, (November to March), as well as special festive breaks and all prices are inclusive of linen and fuel costs.

Directions
By Road from the South:
From Inverness take the A835 to Ullapool and then carry on north to Ledmore Junction.
Turn left onto the A837 to Lochinver. On approach to the village down the steep hill, take the right turning to Baddidarrach, which crosses over a stone bridge and the River Inver. Baddidarrach is sign posted along this road with a left turn just after the cattle grid.
This is now a single track road and after two right hand bends the Caisteal Liath Chalets and car parks are located on the right hand side of the road.
A little further along this road, Caisteal Liath House and Guest House is the second house on the right with a large double garage at the bottom of the drive.
This road has no street lighting and it is advisable to have a torch with you.
